Ryan & Erika are as sweet as they look. These two were made for each other. You know those people you meet for the first time and you already want to plan a double date with them because you just know you would be best of friends – Ryan & Erika are those kind of people.
We met in early May right after the restrictions were lifted for photographers to start shooting sessions again. I wasn’t able to shoot Ryan & Erika’s wedding day because I was already booked on their date, but I recommended a close friend of mine and they booked with her. In a crazy turn of events, my friend wasn’t able to shoot their engagement photos because she was possibly going into labor the morning of their session. Kendall reached out to me and asked if there was any way I was free that evening to cover for her. I was actually in the middle of packing up our entire house and moving out that same day for my husband to refinish our wood floors. I knew the day was already packed, but I really wanted to help Kendall and her couple.
After texting back and forth with Erika, they were willing to drive to Fort Wayne for their session instead of having it in Warsaw so I could make it work between packing and moving. I’m so grateful to have friends in this industry like Kendall and for couples like Ryan & Erika. It’s such a gift to be able to help another photographer in an unexpected situation, and it is such a blessing when couples trust their photographer and are willing to have someone else photograph their engagement session at a moment’s notice.
This session is one of my favorites. The lighting, the beautiful spring colors, and the sweet love these two share just topped it all off!
