this time in your life is so fleeting, which is why I want to preserve these precious moments for you forever.
I don’t know about you, but I barely have any photos with my mama from my childhood. She was always the one taking photos of her three daughters and was rarely in front of the camera with us. Now, I’m a mother myself and find the same to be true about me. I quite literally have thousands of photos of my cute babies, but I’m only in a handful of them and let’s be real - even those are mostly unflattering selfies. I can’t be the only one, right?
I want all mamas to have beautiful photos to cherish for the rest of their lives. Photos of themselves WITH their babies. Years down the road, you will never regret having photos of you with your children - no matter if you look exhausted or if you’re still carrying around a little baby weight. Ladies, OWN IT. You have worked hard to be a mama, and we all need to appreciate it and document the incredible season of motherhood. Babies and children don’t keep, and we can’t recreate these sweet memories when they have come and gone. These are the days, mamas! You are beautiful, and deserve to have these memories captured.

motherhood mini event
This desire and dream of mine is what created my vision and passion for Motherhood Mini Event. In the spring of 2019, I hosted my first Motherhood Mini Event. I photographed 74 mamas and their precious children, and it was better than I ever dreamed. I’m excited to see how this event grows over the years. I hope to bless as many of you as possible with heartfelt, stunning images. In 2022, we raised over $2,500 to support a family in their adoption of their son. This year we will be loving on families who have lost their babies too soon. We will be giving memorial songs to families from "Mama Sing My Song". Our goal is to raise $3,750 to purchase 12 songs! "Mama Sing My Song" is generously gifting us a discount so we can purchase an additional 5 songs! 17 songs in total!

How do I sign up?
Sign-ups go LIVE to my e-mail list first and the past two years all 75 spots were booked within 2 hours! Be sure to sign-up for my e-mail list if you are interested in attending the Motherhood Event.
What if there are no available spots?
I am so sorry you weren’t able to book a spot! I am hoping to offer this event every year, so please sign-up for my newsletter so you’ll be the first one to find out when next year’s event is scheduled. If you don’t want to wait till next year for photos, feel free to slide on over to my contact page and we can schedule a family session right away!
Who can come to the Motherhood Sessions?
Each time slot is included for one mother and her children. Sadly, we aren’t able to accommodate larger extended family photos with multiple generations.
This event is for ALL ages! You can be pregnant and get some beautiful bump photos, or you can be 70 years old and bring your own mom out who's adventuring to 100! I'd love any and every mama to attend and let me capture the beautiful season you are in (even if your son is 15 years old and hates photos, I promise I will get at least one smile and make it worth your time!). There is no limit to how many children are in a family.
This event is ONLY for mamas and children. Sorry dads! I definitely encourage dads to come along though to help watch the kids when we are doing individual photos of you with each child.
What do I wear?
Mamas, this is a time to pamper yourself and feel great! Please wear something you feel beautiful in and is comfortable. I definitely recommend a pretty dress or a fancy shirt with some cute heels - I mean when is the next time you will be this dressed up and have someone else taking your photo?
It looks great if you choose a color scheme for all of the outfits but make sure it isn’t too matchy-matchy. Photos turn out best when outfits coordinate and compliment each other rather than completely matching. You can always go the neutral route, but don’t be afraid to throw in a fun pattern here and there to make things exciting.
What kind of photos will you take of my family?
I will take photos of you with all of your kids and then individual photos of you with each child.
How many photos will I receive and how will I have access to them?
You can expect anywhere from 3-10 high resolution images to be delivered through an online gallery directly to your inbox. The amount of photos you receive will depend upon how many children are in your family. You will receive a print release in your gallery and have permission to download and print your photos.
I kindly ask you to credit “Abigail Edmons Photography” on any photos you share online, and please do not edit or alter the images in any way. I have spent precious time editing your photos to perfection - they will be ready to post/print as soon as you download them.
When will my photos be finished?
You will receive your full gallery of photos within 3-4 weeks. I hope to share previews online within a week of the event, but it will take time to edit photos 75 families. I appreciate your patience, and I promise the wait will be worth it. :)
